I thought church yesterday was awesome. Been a long long time since I paid that much attention during service. But that's cause I haven't really been around on Sundays for the past month. Anyway, Pastor Landa Cope rawks my socks!! We need more women preachers like her lah. People who'll give you the truth and not be afraid to touch on topics which are supposedly taboo. It's amazing how she shed new light on the 10 commandments. It isn't just as simple as we all think it is. I mean, yeah well, it IS pretty simple and straightforward, but if you delve down deeper, you'll see that there's a lot more to the 10 commandments than u previously thought there was. I encourage those who missed the sermon to get the tape.
On Saturday (I'm doing this post in reverse-chronological order. hahah) the post form-fivemers of Sel#1 went for seafood at Port Village. SPM Rangers appreciation or whatever David calls it. Kena bomb by Comm. Herbert for having never been to Port Village. Hello, my family doesn't eat seafood lah. How to go there? I've never even been to Teluk Gong until my aunt came back from NY. So sad right. Anyway, we went for this roadside gingersoupwithwhiteballs thing after that and it sucked pretty bad. Comm Herbert and Kwang Yew and their wives seemed to enjoy it a lot though. Food for the older generation. haha.
Before that I went to INTI college to check out their US day. omg, I SO wanna go to the U of Hawaii! Imagine studying in a place where you also get to surf, hang out on the beach and check out half naked surfer dudes all year round. I would do anything to go there man. But still, I gotta chill lah. See where God leads me. But still, I WANNA GO THERE!! But still...
Then I went to SEGI college. They actually offered me a scholarship, but after much deliberation and talking to my parents I decided to turn it down. I think I made the right decision. Then we went to Summit. My whole family was happily swallowing food at McD's while I practically starved to death watching them eat. The aromatic scent of oily, fat-saturated, extremely-unhealthy-but-who-cares, golden brown, crispy, crunchy fries pretty much killed me. Man, the next time we have 21 days of prayer and fasting, I shouldn't think I'm macho enough to handle it. Fasting from TV is good enough?
On Friday I went for cell at Sister Kim's. Was late but earliest to arrive anyway. We had a lot of fun playing truth or dare. And I shared bout trusting in God no matter what happens and I brought fish keropok for them and my dad came to pick me up early so i dunno how it ended. It was fun and refreshing nevertheless.
OK, gonna go check out other blogs now. =)
